I've never read anything that would indicate that, but it seems unlikely only because of how late in the game this song was recorded. It was literally done just to help round out the album, while videos for the first two singles were already in production or pre-production at the time the song was recorded (that's how far along the album process we're talking here), so it's doubtful that they were looking to give "Fridge" any special attention.

Thankfully they nevertheless ended up with an enjoyable track, and it seems by its inclusion as a new mini-video on TWAS that Al was happy with it as well.

Come to think of it, weren't both of those mini-music videos from TWAS both from albums were Al wouldn't have time to make them (LitF you pretty much covered, and Lasagna because he was too busy with UHF, right?).
