True, no one is forcing you to turn your volume up all the way. This is coming from someone that thought that it was an unnecessary addition to the song.
To me, swearing is should never be deemed as something acceptable in regular conversation, even though I will admit it can sometimes be funny. I've never done it once, and I've never been tempted to.
I do think that Al was just trying to have some fun and what he did wasn't wrong. It's not like he's serious or that he actually uses those words when confronting people. His music and live shows can still easily be geared towards families. The only song that could easily be labeled as "suggestive" is Jerry Springer. Even then the swearing is a complete joke. I mean, the fake portion of the show during the song uses a certain word that's accurate (and not an actual swear word) since the subject was a female dog.
If you hear him swear loudly, it's probably used in an appropriate form.
