Of the 24 Al songs at iTunes, "Phony Calls" is the 10th best-selling one.

Well, they only have BHD and PH, and as you'd expect the parodies sell the best.

Um, Driew, anth mentioned the "Blood Feud" episode because that is the one you hear the sound bite from on the song. They also ran a clip from it during the song on the Bad Hair tour.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Yes, well, I kinda like my bootleg footage of Al singing that song.

Mmmmm........

Oh, and I like the song, too!

Anyways, I think the best part in Phony Calls is also the Simpsons scene.

The Simpsons scene is the best part even though that's not my favorite prank call to Moe's. I'm not going to say what my favorite is because that would be off topic. :P

But Jeremy, just curious, you said some instruments were missing. What were they?

There's a brief part in the original before the vocals start where it's just really cool. You have to hear it for yourself; it's awesome.

Did I say instruments were missing? I don't think I did. You may have missread what I wrote. I said that some INSTRUMENTAL parts were missing. Like for example the short section between the verse and the chorus.
