Also, the WAY Live version is a mixture of the Extra Gory Version and the album version (which he recorded after people told him "You can't kill Santa!"). I guess in the end, he liked the "Vixen's still nervous" rhyme better than the "no more presents for the children's enjoyment" rhyme, and I'm inclined to agree with him.

Grom, the rest of that line is: and the elves have to stand in line to file for unemployment. The rest of it is the same, except for when Santa dies, of course.

Hm... who needs the elves, anyway?

I'm pretty bad at explaining stuff. What I meant was, in WAY Live! and the Bad Hair Day version, he uses the "But now Vixen's in therapy and Donner's still nervous/And the elves all got jobs working for the postal service" lines, instead of the "But now there's no more presents for the children's enjoyment/And the elves got to stand in line to file for unemployment" lines, which is from the original EGV. I like the album rhyme better than the original EGV rhyme. He switches between the two versions halfway through in WAY Live!.

what do you mean...? The Album version and the Extra Gory Version are the ones he switches halfway? Or he switch between the Album and the 2nd Extra Gory one? Or he switches the two Gory ones...? I DONT GET IT! Don't the two gory ones just have slight lyric changes? So why wouldn't Al just use one version?

Sigh....okay...

The album version goes:
Yes, Virginia, now Santa's doin' time
In a federal prison for his infamous crime
Hey, little friend, now don't you cry no more tears
He'll be out with good behavior in 700 more years
But now Vixen's in therapy and Donner's still nervous
And the elves all got jobs working for the postal service
And they say Mrs. Clause, she's on the phone every night
With her lawyer negotiating the movie rights

The "Extra Gory Version" goes:
Yes, Virginia, now Santa Claus is dead
Some guy from the SWAT team blew a hole through his head
Yes, little friend, now that's his brains on the floor
Guess you won't have the fat guy to kick around anymore
Well now there's no more presents for the children's enjoyment
And the elves gotta stand in line to file for unemployment
And they say Mrs. Claus, she's on the phone every night
With her lawyer negotiating the movie rights

The WAY Live! version goes:
Yes, Virginia, now Santa Claus is dead
Some guy from the SWAT team blew a hole through his head
Yes, little friend, now that's his brains on the floor
Guess you won't have the fat guy to kick around anymore
But now Vixen's in therapy and Donner's still nervous
And the elves all got jobs working for the postal service
And they say Mrs. Claus, she's on the phone every night
With her lawyer negotiating the movie rights

I can't make it any more freaking clear than that.

I'm sorry, for those of us in the back, can you explain it once more? :P
