where's the low note meant to be? which lyric does it correspond with in ridin'?

or do you mean the whole song?

It's definitely Al. He's said so in Ask Al, for one thing, and for another thing, if you listen you can just tell it's him. I've always considered him a tenor, but he can definitely hit lower notes when he wants to.

Is anyone else reminded of Monty Python's Lumberjack Song when they hear this? It's the same basic concept, if you think about it.

Now that I think about it, is kind of like that.

Just imagine: "I never wanted to be a barber. I wanted to drive a truck..."

Oh, and TDS is a bit deep. Does anyone know if that's actually Al saying "Veren zol fun dir a blintsa" at the beginning of PFfaR?

CrazyMelon,

Sure sounds like him to me. He's such a perfectionist, I'd imagine he'd have a hard time if it *wasn't* him...One of the many reasons we love him so much!
Hoping the Al goodness never ends...

Nope, read some past Ask Als... he denies using any kind of computer stuff. Lemme find the AA in particular...

Laura Minegar of Rogue River/Oregon asks: Is that your voice on the Truck Drivin' Song? If so, how'd you get your voice so deep?

That is, in fact, my voice. It's not altered in any way. However, I did have to sing it first thing in the morning when my voice is naturally much lower.

Another observation about this song.

The first time I heard this, I always thought it was about a cross dressing male truck driver.

Later, I thought what if it was about a very masculine (but still female) "large marge" sort of truck driver.

Both concepts were equally funny.
