No kidding! I've tried singing the original on Karaoke Revolution. Yikes!twinkieweinersandwiches24_7 @ May 4 2005, 01:29 AM wrote: I love it. It's really good live (LIVE! DVD), I'm amazed how Al can say all the words so fast and still be intelligible . I've tried it, but it sounds like I've got marbles in my mouth

I think it was just something that Al put together for the tour. I know Al wanted to do a video for JS, and Jerry Springer himself even agreed to appear in it, but when he heard the song, he felt it was too mean-spirited. I don't think he ever started filming the video though.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Here's some other places where the lyrics are very similardrnick954 @ Jun 13 2005, 01:17 PM wrote: Well, he does say "One Week" in the lyrics

I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that it was footage that they filmed early for the video.Barney Slayer @ Dec 16 2006, 03:06 AM wrote: Does anybody know what the video footage of the spoken lines that appears in the WAY Live DVD is about? I can tell that Al is the man, but is this from a possible video for the song or something?
I don't know how accurate it is though.

Re: Jerry Springer
When I was younger, I took the line "I've got way too much class to watch Jerry Springer" literally, therefore seeing the protagonist of the song as a college slacker kid who watched too much of the namesake show and thus, didn't attend his classes. Of course, nowadays I realize what he really means by "class" - not that it negates the other possibility. Needless to say, not one of Al's more kid-friendly songs.
