Well, two if you count Flatbush/ Fairfax Avenue.

Remember, kids, Al's songs are not auto-biographical.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

And you don't have to be Jewish to like Jewish food.

Al used to live not all that far away from Fairfax Avenue.

("not all that far away" meaning if you wanted to hop in your car and go get a snack, you could)

I hadn't taken a look at the FAQs for a while, so I hadn't seen this:
He decided to get rid of the facial hair about the same time, although he sometimes grows it back when nobody’s looking.

BTW, it's in the Ask Al archive, not in the FAQs, that Al said he's a Christian. The "nondenominational church" piece comes from an article that's not on weirdal.com (Chuck Miller's article?).

p.s. This discussion has now given us Google ads for "low-carb bagels." That's just wrong.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

They're both good.

If I'm in a crappy mood, this song cracks me right up. It's one of my favorites to play in the car around friends who haven't heard many Al songs. I also like to play it because my friends always call Al "The Eat It Guy" (Yes, they really do) or "The Amish Guy." Now he can be called the "Guy Who Sings About Jewish Rabbi Things"?

One of Al's funniest songs. This one actually sounds better than the original :)
