I had re bought it, but in the process of moving up from California to Washington (state) all my stuff got stolen.. so I'm left with having to re-buy Al's entire collection, but at least I have Alpocalypse.

Is this song supposed to be a style parody of any specific artist?

I don't think so, it's zydeco, but not AFAIK in the style of any particular zydeco artist.

How about this somewhat related question? Who is the most popular or well known zydeco artist?!?

Queen Ida Guillory (and the Bon Temps Zydeco Band)? Clifton Chenier (he got name-checked in a Paul Simon song)? Buckwheat Zydeco? BeauSoleil isn't exclusively zydeco, but they do play a good bit of it.
