Quick question

I was listening to RWS the other night. Noticed that, in the liner notes, Saga and Pentiums are listed not as parodies, but as a lyrical adaption and lyrical interpretation. I know Al legally has the right to parody, and always seeks permission, but the other parodies on the album are listed as parodies. Was this an insistance by the original artists, ie, Puffy and Don McLean specifically asking it "not be a parody", per se, or some sort of weird legality?

I'm assuming it was something they personally requested, as I don't recall seeing that on other albums... :please:

According to Ask Al, the lawyers for Don McLean and Puff Daddy requested that the parodies be listed as that.

Ah. Ok. Was always curious and never quite sure. I'd assumed that was a requested thing but.

Thank you.
