My favorites, in order:
1) "American Pie" - tough choice between this and "One Week", but I had to give the edge to "Pie" for its epic scope (fittingly retained in the parody subject matter) and its status as a classic
2) "One Week" - fun song that I mostly discovered via Al's parody and on the Digimon: The Movie soundtrack
3) "Pretty Fly For A White Guy"
4) "It's All About About The Benjamins" - 4 & 5 may as well be interchangable, since I've barely heard either, but on the strength of the rock remix that Al parodied, I decided that it is indeed "All About The Benjamins"
5) "Zoot Suit Riot" - never even heard the song. The parody is also the weakest on the album (IMO), so there's that, too.

One Week for me. How can I not vote for the song that mentions 'The X-Files'?

Yeah American Pie and One Week were great targets. The Saga Begins is the only parody I find isn't actually better than the original in Al's entire catalogue. American Pie is just one of those truly classic songs, like Sweet Home Alabama. But I still think The Saga Begins is amazing in every way it could be.

We're on this website together. By that measure, we're already friends.

As a Barenaked Ladies fan, I voted "One Week", though this is a strong group of targets overall. I'll go as far as to say these targets get my vote as the best overall batch in the post-Permanent Record era, rivaled only by "In 3-D" for the best group overall.

Pretty Fly For A White Guy wins my vote
