I love this song! I like this part: "...and she leaned right next to me, and said IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!"

Great, great stuff!

I love this song. This still makes me laugh. It's great to listen too, its almost like a story set to music. Which I guess its what it it.

Was it Scotti who introduced the "Who autographed the snorkel?" debate?

His voice is great all the way through, he never messes up. Like Eminem said in an interview:
"I find that if I say the word 'the' wrong I'll go back and record the song over again"

This must've taken Al forever.

This is officially one of the more annoying Al songs I've ever heard. I mean, it was novel to start with, but after having my brother listen to it continually I am officially sick of it. It had its moments and all, but I really don't like it all that much.

Because it's as long as it is, I need to be in a special mood to listen to it. I really enjoy it when I do though. It's like watching a movie you really like and reciting your favorite lines as they come up.

I get requests on long bus rides to do Albuquerque.

And occasionally, I say
"Say, that reminds me of another amusing anecdote:
This guy comes up to me on the street and says he hasn't had a bit in three days
Well, I knew what he meant
But just to be funny, I took a big bite out of his jugular vein
And he's yellin' and screamin' and bleeding all over
And I'm like "Hey, come on, don'tcha get it?"
But he just keeps rolling around on the sidewalk, bleeding, and screaming ahhh! ahhhhhhhh!
You know, just completely missing the irony of the whole situation
Man, some people just can't take a joke, you know?"

I agree with El. Because it's so long, I don't listen to it as much as other songs. Often when I listen to RWS, I stop the CD after "Grapefruit Diet." It's not that it's not a good song. It's hilarious! But I need to be in a certain mood to be able to sustain my interest in one song for 11 minutes.

But it is a terrific song. There are too many great bits to pick my absolute favorites, but some that immediately come to mind are:

The donut bit
The quick end to the marriage - Apparently Columbia House is a bigger commitment than marriage!
The part with Marty and the guy on the street
The long, drawn out ending
The "I kind of lost my train of thought..." part

I still like TBBOTIM better, but "Albuquerque is right up there too!
