I heard somewhere that Al didn't actually sing the bridge in one go when he recorded, but rather used "samples" or something like that...

Doesn't matter though, it's stil an EPIC song.

No, he says "automatic circumcisers,", not "automatic circumcisesr". He says it between "Trailer hitch demagnetizers" and "tennis rackets."

He sang it slow and then sped it up.

Didn't I read somewhere that what he did on Hardware Store was to use ProTools to take out or shorten some of the pauses between words? Thus explaining why he's still singing at his normal pitch, which wouldn't have been the case if the whole thing had been sped up.

It's possible to speed something up without changing the pitch... I'd know, my band recorded a parody of this song.

Yes, he recorded it in segments too.

That makes sense... if it was sped up it would sound like the chipmunks wouldn't it?

Edit
oh OK Jace. I'm not really up on this stuff

I don't really mind it being digitally enhanced. It's still freaking awesome. Easily my favorite song on the album. Kind of like how Pancreas is my favorite on SOL.
