Check out this review from the New York Post. For shame.

LOL! Good to see the reporter did his homework... No wonder Em wouldn't allow a video for an album called Poodle Head. How dumb is that??

Good catch, rboy!

Thank you! I found it when I was looking for Poodle HAT reviews to see what Bilboard, Rolling Stone, etc had to say about it. ThenI look and see "Poodle Head review" and I had to click on it. And the sad part is if you type in "Poodle Hat reviews" on Yahoo!, its one of the first listed. Yah, go try it! And that makes 9 posts in under 30 min, a good start for me :)

Why does that article say "Jive Records?" Is that an alias for Volcano?

Volcano and Jive are tentacles of the Zomba octupus. As Bermuda says "They work on stuff together"

It's a division of Zomba. At least he didn't say it wasn't his cup of tea.

Is it really possible to be so wrong and have actually listened to PH? Has Jayson Blair changed his name?

Wrong about what? All he said was that "Couch Potato" was the best song on PH, and plenty of people are saying that. And he's right that people seem to be kinda polarized by "Weird Al" --they either love him or detest him. But by the way he gave Eminem's chain a bit of a yank for his humor-challenged video refusal, I kinda suspect that the author of the article leans more toward appreciation of Al than otherwise. He certainly hasn't earned himself a spot on my "too hot to hoot" list. However, for not being able to tell his Hat from his Head he might have earned himself a spot on the "Couldn't Pour Water Out Of A Boot" list. :P

How do you know he was reviewing our Poodle Hat? He might have seen the one that was released last year...

Actually, since he didn't do bad in the actual interview (as you pointed out) I bet the problem is that he just couldn't read the micro-type. What? Did the US Treasury print up the PH liner notes?

No, it was the CIA. They're classified. You mean you haven't eaten your copy yet? :dontgetit:
