Hmm looks like you are off topic topic. :satisfied:

Now how is PH doing in terms of getting gold?

lets see, the last time we checked, the sales were 336,000 . You need 500,000 record sales to get a gold. So, a little less then 200 more need to be sold before we see a gold for PH.

Gosh. Hopefully this tour and the Wayne Brady show will produce enough people to make it gold.

I wouldn't count on The Wayne Brady Show making PH go gold, but it could certainly help. A combination of that and the tour could really help. They're doing a fair amount of publicity here for the Akron show. The Cleveland Plain Dealer ran an ad, and one of the Akron radio stations has been advertising it. I hope more cities do the same. The more people who go to the concerts, the better the chance PH will go gold, and hopefully platnium.

Ahem, Bobbi:

Well, they quoted a specific price because this was a tv ad, and you would send away for the cd through the mail. It was advertised for $18.99, IIRC.

Doesn't anyone pay attention to my posts anymore?

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was thinking it was more like a "'Poodle Hat'...now in stores everywhere for only $18.99!" kinda ad. It makes a little more sense now.

Back to this whole Gold thing, I'm as stunned as everyone else that it hasn't happened yet. I mean, the album won a Grammy last month (and had been nominated even longer) and still nothing.

I cannot believe the lack of a music video made this much of a difference.

Al's fanbase is stronger than just a one-week top-20 ranking in "Billboard." Look at the size of the crowds at the concerts. Considering that maybe every other person is just tagging along with an Al fan, where are all the copies that those concertgoers have bought?
