That would've been an excellent dea. Actually they still could if they wanted to.

Speaking of things that would have been perfect parody-commercial fodder...

That would have been an excellent idea. They could have made an ad and ran it on MTV, VH1, and Nickelodoeon, as well as others. My brother watches Nick all the time, and whenever some new teen act pops up, they have commercials for their albums. Aaron Carter and Play have both had ads, and they advertise those Kidz Bop CDs all the time. Aaron Carter and Play have both had success, and the Kidz Bob Cds have been bestsellers. If Volcano had advertised Poodle Hat on Nick, it would probably would have gone Platnium a long time ago. Getting Al on the Nick Magazine Birthday Bash was simply not enough advertising for the kid market. That's only one show, and it probably wasn't that popular. An ad that would run during popular shows such as "SpongeBob SquarePants" or "Fairly Oddparents" would have been much more effective.
I remember once seeing such a commercial for PH. Don't remember what channel it was on, though. I can't say for sure if it was on MTV, Nick or VH1 since I rarely ever watch those channels.

In the days immediately following Poodle Hat's release, I'm pretty sure I saw an ad for it on Comedy Central.
This means something. This is important.

That's probably where I saw it too, since I watch Comedy Central regularly.

What did the commercial say?
Cane and Rinse: weekly thoughtful video game discussion. Give it a listen, won't you?

It was just clips from AL's older videos, followed by a picture of PH.

The ad was shown on VH1, and I saw it on Nick too. Not very creative, but I was glad to see it.

Ok, so there was a PH commercial. I thought I was just misremembering hearing about the RWS one.
