Now, now. . .let's not poke fun at someone for not knowing who Brian Wilson is. To be fair, unless someone born in 1990 were a Beach Boys fan they probably wouldn't know (or care) who he was.
TOLD YOU it's because I was born too late. (*was born in 1990 o:*)
Thanks, mrmeadows, for the defense. I feel like such a crazy young'n around here sometimes.

And I feel like a doddering old geezer everytime Al puts out a new album! (A few years back you could have heard me saying "Who the heck is Nelly and Avril Lavigne?!?")

So when was it ever confirmed that this was a style parody of Brian Whatshisname?

Nice find, trippingdaisy! A Brian Wilson style parody sounds most interesting, indeed. The video sounds like my kind of humor, absurd and not completely obvious. I can't wait to see what's been done with this.

I have to say, "Brian Wilson style parody" sounds a lot better than the generic "Beach Boys style parody" (Does that make any sense? )
And just think of this one in 5.1!
yeah. when most people hear "beach boys" they think early, surf-oriented beach boys. when people hear "brian wilson" they think pet sounds, smile type stuff.
Actually, I'm not too familiar with Brian Wilson's solo stuff. Of course I know who he is though. My dad was a huge Beach Boys fan, so I grew up listening to the stuff.
I'll probably listen to some samples of Smile and Pet Sounds on iTunes before the album comes out so I'll have a better feel for the sound.
