:o Please don't get my hopes up! :9~

I'd keel over if it was a Monkees style parody (though which of their styles would Al pick...?)!

Similar to Beach Boys... Jan & Dean, The Ventures... I'm thinking there's a current band, also...

I'd be surprised if it was a Beach Boys style parody. It might sound too similiar to "Trigger Happy." My guess is that it's a style parody of another band or gender genre of music that the listener wasn't familiar with, and the closest thing she was familiar with was The Beach Boys.

But it'll probably be a Beach Boys style parody anyway. My record on speculation that's come true for this album has been pretty pathetic so far.

Here's a list of current & "almost current" surf rock artists:

I'm not up on current music (I recognize some of the "almost current" artists). So, for someone who is, do any of these artists ring a bell?

Like Marko mentioned a SMiLE reference isn't unreasonable.

Interesting fact -- Heywood Banks, the guy that sings TOAST!, also recorded a song called Pancreas. It's on this album:

http://www.themadmusicarchive.com/album ... ID=%201161

Let us all raise our glasses to the pancreas
It has never been an organ of distinction
Though it functions day by day in a most convenient way
it has never had the glory that the liver gets

That could be funny: a dry, medical breakdown of the bodily organ set to upbeat Beach Boys-style music. Med students would love it!

Fond memories of the amazingly accurate litany of hernias in *Living with a Hernia" come back to me now. Oh, I'd be in AIH for the next two years. Plus, Al would have a huge potential new fan pool. We med geeks just love this kind of stuff.

I found this in an old Ask Al:

I wonder, which (body) organ would you consider the funniest? Which has the most intrinsic humor? (Don Kurtycz, MD)

The pancreas.

That sheds some light on why Al's doing this song.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.
