I've been hoping he'd do a polka version of R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet".
It would be pretty hilarious to hear Al tackle all 12 parts of that insane Hip-Hopera as one gigantic polka epic.
Not a spoiler... just a possibility...

Yeah, I'm hoping he'll do something with that. I mean, there are parts of it that are so rediculous -- it just just begging for a parody.

I think "Trapped in the Closet" is pretty likely ("Trapped in the Wal-Mart?"). Although R.'s albums have always done pretty well, the "TP.3 Reloaded" album topped all the charts it hit. "Closet" didn't do phenomenally well (#38 on the "Pop 100" and #14 on the "Hot Digital Songs" chart), but it still averaged better than the other tracks off the album.

Yep....not to mention that even if it was an utter failure, the whole bombast of Trapped in a Closet has taken on a life of it's own.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

And that's just it. For a number of reasons, R. Kelly and that song are still on a lot of people's minds, either due to R.'s little problems in the past or because of "South Park" or whatever. And of course what's cool is that Al probably wouldn't address any of that in a parody.

And for those of you just joining us, "Ridin'" is currently at #9 on the "Hot 100." It has been on the chart so far for twenty-one weeks, has topped the chart for two weeks, and has already gone Platinum.

It's part of a longer "Hip-Hopera", as someone put it earlier. I think this piece is tailor-made for one of Al's "movie" songs, since the original is basically just the linear telling of a story. Al could basically sing the plot of a recent popular film, or film series (and make it funny, of course).

I never liked Trapped in the Closet. I haven't heard the entire thing, but it is really annoying at parts. It feels like watching a soap opera. The musical style of it is very good, though, and Al could really do something with it.

If Al does a parody of Trapped in the Closet, I imagine he'll have some fun with this line
