Doesn't "Idol" have significantly less syllables than "Idiot"? I just cannot see how "American Idol" would fit with "American Idiot" without a really, really lame stretching of the word.

Al kind of touched on American Idol already in Couch Potato. I wouldn't want him to do it twice in a row.

Not only that, but the title "American Idiot" is a parody of American Idol. You can't just change something back like that and call it your own.

I'm with Moose on this. Is there really anything Al needs to say about the show that he didn't already say in the sum-up in "Couch Potato?"

I hope he does Boulevard, personally. :) Although Holiday would be neat-o, too.

He won't do "American Idol."

1) It's too obvious
2) It's already been done
3) He won't do it

Have you noticed we haven't had any songs like "Gump" or "The Saga Begins"? Maybe that's what the parody'll be about. And maybe he'll do a music video for this one, the kind in wich you'd have to see the original to get. Those are too funny!

You mean, apart from "Ode to a Superhero"?

Point taken about American Idiot. I didn't realize it was a play off of Idol before nor had I ever heard that done before. Sweet, I'm looking forward to a Boulevard parody again |)
