Here's a novel idea, JCM? Why don't we let Al do whatever he wants for his videos without you policing whether or not it would be a good idea just because the animation team has a word you find offensive in its name? Do you really think the animation studio would "sneak in" things to the video???

They already admitted to sneaking RAB characters into the video. I was just suspicious of what else they might have sneaked in, too. I'm not trying to tell Al what to do, I just expect him to be more critical of these kind of animators. John Kricfalusi already seemed like enough of a stretch.

Im sure Al knew the RAB's were in there, and if he didnt approve he wouldnt have released it. If you find it offensive, dont watch it

To clarify, David C. Lovelace is the man who directed this video and "Retarded Animal Babies" are fictional characters he created (who may or may not have non speaking, on active background cameos in this video). After seeing the video twice today, I saw nothing that I think Al would've objected too. Even his visuals for the lyrics "make you physically attracted to sheep" and emails you grandmother all of your porn" were as tame and inoffensive as they could get. Believe me, if you're at all familiar with the RAB series, you probably know he could've taken those much farther if he weren't being held up to Al's high standards of quality. Here are the only things I saw that are even close to innuendo, but are still fairly innocuous...

-The address in the email is [email protected] deal
-The email also promises a link to a "movie of a monkey drinking something that isn't lemonade"...ew, slightly objectionable.
- The puppy is neutered in the laundry room, but that's still a bit of a stretch for innuendo...even if you think of it as an in joke amongst fans of RAB.

Even John K's video was far more bizarre and disturbing than this effort.

Appropriateness =/= quality

Nevertheless, even those small innuendos would be enough to give the video a PG rating. At least John K had a fair amount of history with children's series to give us reassurance with. Bringing on the RAB guys to produce this video is equivalent to bringing on the Happy Tree Friends guys. The wisdom of it is just questionable, that's all.

And Al is fine with PG. What is the big deal JCM? You dont think its appropriate, Al does. Guess whose opinion matters?

JCM what gives? Even my puritanical 77 year old mother is more relaxed about stuff than you. You're getting like the people in the olden days who were so offended by seeing the legs on chairs and tables that they put skirts on their furniture. Chill out. Prudishness is so hypocritical and ignorant.
Al is NEVER going to do anything that is wildly outside acceptable standards. Believe it or not its not 1811 any more

Yeah, exactly. It isn't like he did some sort of Adult Party Cartoon, if you will, like, 3 years before "Close But No Cigar" that could've given us a clue as to what the video was gonna turn out like. :rolleyes:

Whatever. I just hope he has more traditional animators work on his stuff in the future. I didn't mean to cause an uproar.
