You know what's amazing is that you can get fined 80 grand for downloading a few songs, but if you get caught stealing a CD from a store you'll get off easy with a slap on the wrist.

I also think it's amazing that the RIAA targets the people who only downloaded maybe 20 songs or so, instead of the people who download and fill their iPods up with thousands of songs.

Of course, they know perfectly well that the people they sue aren't gonna get them the money. If you sue someone for that much and they don't have it, you're not gonna see the money. They just get satisfaction in knowing they just ruined somebody for life.

I hate the RIAA.

Yeah, the RIAA really sucks. Yes, people shouldn't downloading songs, but the punishments that they're inflicting on those who do are way too extreme.

I saw a poster up in the cafeteria earlier today that Bill Plympton (who animated the video) is giving a talk at my school on November 15! I love his work. Wonder if he'll mention the video...

Some slight Al-related news: Limewire is shutting down

(This article, oddly enough, mentions Al.)

Eh, not like P2P applications are even the dominant form of file sharing anymore. It's all BitTorrent trackers now...
