Best Parody Target

Post by TMBJon »

Forgetting about the now well-known Weird Al parodies, which of these five original songs do you actually like the most?

Green Day. Easy choice.

In order:

"American Idiot"
"Confessions Part II"
"Trapped in the Closet"
"Ridin;"
"Do I Make You Proud?" No

I voted R Kelly because I like the original music and Al did a cool faithful parody.

:offtopic:, but Bruce, why did you report me about the dream I had?

I would go with American Idiot. I don't really have the patience for Trapped In The Closet.

What American Idiot seriously lacks in lyrical subtlety it more than makes up for in sheer catchiness.

Seriously, American Idiots' worst quality is how ham-fisted some of the lyrics are.

Not my favorite Green Day song by a long shot, but I look at these as which song would rather listen to right now, and that's American Idiot.

A really tough one for me as American Idiot and Ridin' are both there for me, and Trapped is just too bombastic, ridiculous and kind of awesome to ignore.

In the end, I'll go with Green Day and the popular "Not my favorite song of their's, but..." vote
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?
