Don't worry! There's more to come!! And a new character soon too!
Chapter Two: RUN!!
Steve grabbed a plate and got into line for breakfast with Bermuda in front of him. He got himself some fruit and a couple of pieces of sausage and toast, then pulled up a seat next to Ruben.
Ruben didnt notice him. In fact, it didnt even look like he was noticing anything! He lifted a jar of syrup over his waffles and with the eye and movements of an artist, slowly poured out all of the syrup. Every last drop. Then he got another jar and emptied that one out too.
So... Steve stared at the lake of syrup. You like syrup, eh?
Ruben looked up at him, shocked. How did you know?
Uh, just a lucky guess. A very... all that syrup was making him feel sick. ...lucky guess.
Ruben nodded, smiling. He cut a piece off with his fork and put it in his mouth. Hmm, needs some more. he reached over to the other table, getting another jar, and poured out the syrup over the already soaked waffles. The second time he tasted them, he let out a satisfied sigh. You want some? he offered Steve.
Steve shook his head. Any appetite he had had two minutes ago had completely disappeared from history. Even the sausages, which were his favorite part of breakfast, looked so unappealing he pushed his plate away.
Luckily Jim came half way to his rescue and gobbled down all of the fruit and toast for him while Steve sat, trying not to think of syrup. Then Ruben took the sausages and devoured them with his soggy waffles.

Well, I WAS trying to hint that that particular "employment opportunity" was never under consideration.crispy-gypsy @ Aug 25 2008, 12:06 AM wrote: Well, seeing as how I'm nice and fat, I think I fall into that category. *laughs*
The Mistress part, I haven't considered yet.
This is a wacky story... TBITB meet the Monkees. (OE wonders how many people on this board have actually SEEN the Monkees TV show... )
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
