I am so excited for the Parallel Universe Tour! I have always wanted to see Jim and Steve performing their own music, but their shows are almost always on the West Coast.

They will be performing at 11pm in Cambridge, MA, after 2 Boston shows the same day. I am worried that I will not make it on time, because I have a VIP meet and greet for Al's show that night. If Al's show starts at 8pm, it might end around 10pm. Then, Al and the band usually meet with their own personal friends and guests first, before the VIP meet and greet. Plus, the club where Jim and Steve are performing is 20-30 minutes away from Al's concert venue. I bought a reserved table ticket, so my seat is saved. I'll do my best to get at the front of the VIP meet and greet line, and hope I can catch most of Jim and Steve's show.

I bought a ticket to the show in Dallas, but I'm worried about cutting it close too, even without the VIP. (maybe I can hitch a ride with them after Al's show? haha)

Either way, I'm pretty excited. Jim's work is amazing, and I really like Steve's too. I wonder what all they'll be playing, or if it'll change depending on the show? Pretty excited to see them play their stuff together.

I would really love to go but yeah with the M&G happening and my daughter in tow I was not going to have any chance of checking them out.

Is there a thread anywhere about the recent Woodstock show? I haven't heard anything about it...

Last night Al joined Jim & Steve on stage for a few tunes during their Parallel Tour show!! They did a rendition of "Little Grass Shack" and some other ditties. They even payed tribute to Spinal Tap by suspending a 19" monument of Stonehenge on stage. This is absolutely crazzzyyy, if anybody does not get why they suspended the monument or don't get the joke, that is why I am proud to be a metalhead!! All I have to say is I love this band more than nearly anything and Michael McKean would not only be proud but I really hope he hears about them doing this. AMAZING.

I'm sure Harry Shearer would also be proud since he is releasing a Derek Smalls solo album. I don't know if Chris Guest is on Twitter or not but I'll be sure to at least let McKean and Shearer know through there.

Just saw the show in Dallas last night. It was indescribably awesome! I couldn't believe I left that night even more happy than when I left the Weird Al concert. Their energy and musicianship were incredible. I have wanted to see their solo work live for years, and the show definitely surpassed my expectations. I even got to hang out with them after the show and talk to them. I seriously hope they continue to tour like this in the future.
