He also has stated elsewhere that his favorite holiday is Christmas. So either in his case Schwartz is a German name, or he's just non practicing. But I'm willing to bet it's the former.

I have no personal knowledge of this but I am pretty sure Bermuda was at least born Jewish given both his first and last names. It's not uncommon for someone born Jewish to not keep Kosher, and many Jews also celebrate Christmas.

And there's this from an interview regarding Pretty Fly (For A Rabbi):

. When asked if any of the members of the band were Jewish, Al said, "um, I don't know, Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz."

I went to see Richard Cheese over the weekend at the El Rey Theater in LA. By coincidence, Bermuda was there in the audience with his wife and a couple friends. I said hi quickly and we chatted for a few minutes. He said he's gotten his hands on the replica accordion that Squeeze Box will be housed in, and things are coming along nicely with Medium Rarities. He confirmed to me that all of those tracks will be remastered, just as the rest of the albums are. We also talked about a late mutual friend of ours, the drummer for Neil Diamond who was my landlord from 2010-2012. I can also report that Bermuda and his wife left the show about 45 minutes early!

That's awesome, Jon! Glad to hear it's coming along well. Did you get to ask about a definitive answer as to whether MP3's will be included with the Vinyl set?

I definitely would have asked him that had I known I'd be running into him, but it caught me totally by surprise so I wasn't thinking of that. Plus he was in the middle of talking to some friends, so I didn't want to keep him too long.
