Re: Alpocalypse Chart Watch & Speculation
On the mothership, would they put the position of the album and where it peaked according to the comedy charts or the regular top whatever chart? Since he has dropped significantly on the regular top 100 or whatever it goes up to but he has been number 1 on the comedy chart since it came out.

I think they'll just go with the #9 on the album chart, since that's the most prestigious I think. It will be interesting to see how many weeks it stays on the Top 200.

I'm assuming it does count online sales and such? If so, I could see it potentially going back up in a couple weeks once the videos and such circulate YouTube and whatnot. I noticed some of the Polka vids have views in the millions, and I really feel PolkaFace is his best one yet. Granted, the songs selected are really good too, so credit them as well.

Re: Alpocalypse Chart Watch & Speculation
Not sure where better to ask this, but where the heck are the concert dates? There's only a handful of dates for July, nothing at all in August, and then 4 more in September. I couldn't fathom that they would announce tour dates with only 4 weeks or less of advance sales time. Is there perhaps something going on that Al needed to take a break for most of the summer and won't begin the majority of the tour dates until the Fall? It seems odd to delay it so far after the release of the album, but who knows?

Re: Alpocalypse Chart Watch & Speculation
Yeah, Al originally was only going to tour in the Fall, but when Alpocalypse had a release date, they wanted to add at least a week of shows. Other than that, Al wanted to take the Summer off (because of last year's tour), so no more concerts until September. They've announced that the this part of the tour would last at LEAST until October, but they're expecting it to go through early November.
Unfortunately this is a very odd situation as far as touring goes, but I'm still expecting a more full tour by next year.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be a more full on tour next summer. Like OneWAY said, Al will be touring in the fall from late September through early November.
I think that the week of touring in July just came from having to tape the TV Special in Toronto. Al wanted a few shows to warm up for those two very important performances.

Right now, during week three, the album is at #58. Still in the Top 100!

Re: Alpocalypse Chart Watch & Speculation
It might actually be in the top 100 for a while given the market.
So it's got that going for it anyway......
