Possibly, but I wouldn't rule out a parody. Do I Creep You Out and Trapped in the Drive-Thru had animated videos.Big Spoon wrote:If it's video is going to be animated, then chances are it's an original.

It would suck if it was a parody of TNT by ACDC

Re: Plympton collabo
Wow, this is great news. If I had to guess, I would say it is one of the originals Al recorded in January as well. I wouldn't entirely rule out an AC/DC parody (that sounds much more like something Bob Rivers would've done by now) but I would say that it would be highly unlikely for Al at this point. Now, that I think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be a parody of "Paparazzi" or "Teenage Dream" but those seem highly unlikely because everything that has been on the charts recently would clash with Plymptons' style. as well. Anyway, if this is an original, what style parody do you guys think would go well with the TMZ theme?

Re: Plympton collabo
I wouldn't count on it. If it is in fact a parody, "Teenage Dream" is the best theory I've heard yet. But would Al want to promote a parody with a Bill Plympton animated video? Possible but unlikely. I am leaning toward original style parody. Of whom is anyone's guess...

Re: Plympton collabo
so far he's hit Doors, White Stripes, Weezer and Queen on style parodies so hopefully it stays along those lines he should style parody Linkin Park and talk about how they sold out, that would be hilarious!!

Re: Plympton collabo
Linkin Park didn't sell out. They've always sounded s****y. Anyway, how would it be staying along the same lines as the bands you listed, all of whom are great, to style parody a universally hated band like Linkin Park?

Presumably because he just ate it. Ate it. Ate it. Ate it. Don't you make me repate it.

Great spoiler work, Ludovica! TNT, Teenage Dream and OMG all sound likely if the song is indeed a parody. Either way, subject matter is ripe for parody.
