I prefer CD's too. Sure they end up getting ripped right away and put on a shelf to look good, but, I like the physicalness of it, and that like, If my HD ever crashed I'd still have a back up.

I rip em a lot too, but they come in handy cause I end up taking some to work with me, and it's easier to carry them than an iPod or MP3, as people tend to wanna steal them.

I don't think the whole record store thing is all that far off, a ton of bands are re-releasing their albums on vinyl.

I'd assume they would, as long as it's a money-making venture. Striking now, while the iron's hot, so to speak makes the most sense.
