Very true, on both fronts. Either way, I wanna hear it.weirdojace wrote:Disney is VERY protective of their image. They wouldn't have approved this parody if they thought parents would get uppity over it. At least I don't think they would.
Then again, turning a Miley Cyrus song into a song about alcohol is funny!

Re: New Parody 2010
As Miley Cyrus is a big Disney star, this song (when released) also brings up a chance of Al getting some airplay on RadioDisney again.

Most definitely.
Didn't White & Nerdy get played on there too? Could have sworn it did...

I have no idea; I stopped listening to it years ago. I just remember being upset when they stopped playing Al's stuff however long ago that was.

"Party In The USA" is not your typical Disney song though. It has completely transcended the typical boundaries that those types of artists usually reach. And it is a WAY bigger hit than anything from the Jonas Brothers or Justin Bieber.

Yeah there's that which is certainly true, but I also mean the song has really broken into the collective pop culture zeitgeist much more than the other two I mentioned (and other Disney artists) have done. This is exactly the sort of song Al likes to parody because it usually means the song has staying power.

I've never heard the song, and had never heard of it before this speculation.

Re: New Parody 2010
It's okay, barely anyone on this forum ever knows the original songs.
You'd think Weird Al fans would keep up with pop culture considering his whole act is based around it...

Ah, good. It'll be nice to hear that catchy melody with the addition of some lyrics that weren't written in 2 minutes.
Well actually probably a little longer cause the person who wrote it (certainly not Cyrus herself) probably had to keep cleaning their mass of drool off the page, which would add at least another 2 minutes on to the whole writing session.
