It's good, but if you ever see Boylan's Root Beer around (it's not easy to come buy, although I've seen it at Starbucks of all places every now and then) you shouild try it... it's my personal favorite. :)

I guess WHiZZi will just have to make a trip here solely for the purpose of trying out all the root beer the US has to offer. :P

I recommend Sprechers (from a microbrewery in WI) or Stewarts -- which is very popular back east.
This means something. This is important.

running with Dutch windmills @ Aug 25 2004, 04:30 PM wrote: WHAT IS IN ROOTBEER?

There's is no true authentic root beer recipe, since there are so many different combinations and brews. Over time, root beer has contained ingredients like allspice, birch bark, coriander seed, ginger and ginger root, hops, burdock root, dandelion root, guaiacum chips, spicewood, wild cherry bark and bitters, wintergreen and wintergreen oil, yellow dock, prickly ash bark and even, molasses.

Pinguin , that's why !! ( don't know which one you drank )
The key ingredient to root beer is sassafras root.

I'll second the nomination of Stewart's... oh wait, wrong topic.
