WOWAY 10 years : Memories

I've been a member of WOWAY for almost 9 of those 10 years.
Had a lot of fun. Met a lot of people. Learned a lot.
The friends I've made through this forum have had a huge impact on who I am today.

Things didn't really start big until Akrovak started Weird Al Survivor VII. I quickly teamed up and became friends with Dumb N00b, who eventually introduced me to Doctor Who, nearly 4 years ago. And that, of course, has had perhaps the biggest impact on me.

I could go on about all the different people I've met here, and the different ways that they've impacted me, in both big and small ways.

But yeah, I am glad WOWAY exists. And even though time has passed, some people I once knew on WOWAY I no longer talk to, and even though I don't visit WOWAY as often as I once did (still rank #9 in terms of number of posts, w00t), i will always owe a bit of who I am to WOWAY, and all the people who make WOWAY what it is.

Now would be a good time for Sarley and rboy to come back. They were 2 of the best members from the early days who disappeared for completely no reason.

Sarley got grounded for knocking over liquor stores, remember?

I have waaaaaaaay too many memories to even begin typing a coherent post about WOWAY. Lets just say its been my favorite site on the web besides reddit. Lets hope for another 10 more years!

Where do I even start?? I joined the forum in late 2003, a few months after I attended my first concert when I was 14 at the Mann Center in Philly that July. Upon finding a thread about that show (and discovering the nickname so graciously given to me by Mike), I decided to register as a member. I've been in and out, but my most active periods were definitely in 2004 and 2005, as well as my first year or two in college (2007-2008).

Some of my fondest forum memories include:
~Cat (SmileyGirl87) saying that she would bet all of Patti's cookies that I'd meet Al someday, and it happened TWICE!
~The 2005 WOWAY awards show hosted by iisryan27 and Dave (even though Dave's voiceover was mistakenly recorded in another language)
~Posting and looking at everyone's photos on the Big Photo Topic (especially Patti's!)
