Thanks for all the praise, gang! This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. There are still one or two things I wanted to take the time to tweak some more, but I was more concerned about getting at least one of the spots
out there before the vague mid-Septemberish announcement of the Rock Hall nominees. But generally I'm more or less happy with how the first ad turned out.
Funny enough, the most difficult part was trying to get the widescreen picture of the documentary into the full screen picture of the ad, since my editing software doesn't allow one to mix aspect ratios (it won't automatically create a letterbox effect). Thankfully I figured out a way to cheat around it, which was quite a relief because I definitely wanted to offer just a taste of the documentary footage.
Thank you, Vikki, for going ahead to Digg it. For the rest of the weekend, I'm going to try to get it on as many video sites as I can (Dailymotion, etc.).
Speaking of the documentary, if anyone with a camera still wants to be appear in it to talk about Al, please contact me so we can set things up.
