Well, that made me laugh a bit.

I'm sure that's exactly how Al would've described the tribute if asked too... just like Elvis did.

Has anyone posted any pics of the physical cd and case? I'd love to see it :)

Hey, kids, here's a song that coulda woulda shoulda been on the tribute album, but it showed up late for the party.

It includes cameo appearances by Dr. Demento and Weird Al himself!

"If I Could Be Weird Al"
http://thefump.com/fump.php?id=1426

The song is attributed to "Moneyshot Cosmonauts," but it's actually a group effort by a bunch of Weird Al fans who also make funny music, namely Bob Emmet (of Project Sisyphus), Robert Lund, ShoEboX (of Worm Quartet), TV's Kyle, Tom Smith, Carrie Dahlby, Seamonkey, Jared Ringold (of Possible Oscar), Devo Spice, Spaff.com, the great Luke Ski, Jesse Smith (of Morning Sidekick), Dr. Milo T. Pinkerton III (of Consortium of Genius), Bill Dant, Steve Goodie, Insane Ian, Jeff Reuben, and me.

It's a parody of "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy f/ Bruno Mars and is crammed full of Weird Al references. See how many you can spot.

And if anyone considers this a thread hijack, I apologize. I wanted to start a new thread for this, but apparently I'm too much of a newbie here to be able to do that.

That was really fun! I wish that would've been on the album!

Maybe digital only bonus track?

Yeah, I would've liked it to be on the album too. But, I gave everybody a year in which to make a song for this CD. Spaff got his done at kind of the last minute, after I had already paid for all the messy royalties. So... we didn't really have enough cash to pay Bruno Mars at that point. It's a great song, though (it contains a lot of the fancy lyrical gymnastics that I expect from Sir Spaff). I mentioned it on the tribute website when it came out.
