Over the course of "Weird Al" Yankovic's career, there have been two tribute albums: "Prosthetic Lips" and "Me, Myself and I." As it's been about ten years since the last one, comedy musicians Austin Aeschliman of Rycehat and Jace McLain of Nuclear Bubble Wrap feel that it's time to release a new one. And so we have "Twenty-Six and a Half."

The album is now available for pre-order!!! It's completely finished, and should come out (hopefully) in mid-June, before Alpocalypse is released.

Pre-order the CD right here! It's $12 plus $2 shipping. And visit http://www.weirdaltribute.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for more details.

Other places you can buy:
iTunes
Bandcamp (digital download in any format you wish - mp3, flac, wav, etc...)
CDBaby (320k mp3s, physical CDs soon...)

Part of the sales profits from this will go to the Weird Al Star Fund, and Make the Rock Hall Weird. (With the remaining going to the artists and producers, and Weird Al's publisher for the use of his songs). This will be made in physical CD form and will also be given an iTunes release.

What exactly are the people doing? Are they singing Al's songs or singing stuff inspired by him?

Sounds like a great idea though!

I'd love to help, what can I do?

Both.

Draw some album artwork... we don't really have a specific album cover in mind. Do whatever you think works.

When you donate there are several cool things you can get depending on the amount:

$1-9: Free MP3s of person's choice, one for each dollar donated
$10-19: Free digital copy of the album upon it's final master
$20-29: Free physical copy upon release, sent with pre-orders
$30-39: Free digital copy before release, free physical copy sent with pre-orders
$40-100,452: Free digital and physical copy, any material cut from release, full digital copy of "Me, Myself, and I" the second Weird Al tribute album.
$100,453+: Weird Al will be your personal Sherpa on your journey up Mt. Everest, and just as you hit the very top, he'll give you a copy of the CD, and some sort of sandwich.
