Ah, the memories you're bringing back...
Many, many, many years ago...all right, TWO years ago, sheesh. We had a guy named Adam in our choir. Adam is a *huge* fan of Al.
Well, he asked our director if he could sing "Christmas at Ground Zero" for a senior solo. The answer was no. "The Night Santa Went Crazy"...no. But when the spring concert rolled around, he asked if he could perform "Since You've Been Gone" with a group of other guys...and the answer was YES!
It was awesome. The crowd of parents had heard so many serious, boring songs that their minds had almost melted. But when the group of guys belted out the line "I feel almost as bad as I did when you were still here..." the audience FINALLY got it, and cracked up laughing! They got one of the biggest rounds of applause that a group had received that night.
And Al's name was in the program.
