Hmmm... ink-jet shrinky dinks... now that's an idea!
I doubt they exist. It's way too cool of an idea for it to be real.

Thanks SD for leading my wayward post here.
Anywho, I decided today I wanted to make some primitive AL Gal jewelry. So I dug out some beads and silver string and got to work.
I made a necklace that says "ALGAL" with a heart bead between the words(!)...(How lucky was it to find THAT?!) and a bunch of neon colored pony beads(no, not a horse )-orange, yellow, pink, and green..I chose neon because I needed something else on the necklace and it seemed Al-appropriate.
My bracelet was an afterthought and is much sloppier looking. It says "Yankochic" because I didn't have 2 K letter beads...
So there you have it! My lame-o jewelry, which I will nonetheless sport proudly...
What was all this about Al-Gal pins??
ttyl all!

^wants full Al-Gal regalia..(I realize I said this on the other post...)

Ok, by request, my recipe for Sour Cream Cookies, moved here from the avatars topic:
Sour Cream Cookies
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Sugar
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix 1 cup sugar, the shortening, margarine, vanilla and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Divide dough into 3 equal parts. Roll each part 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut with a 2 inch cookie cutter. (or use whatever kind you want) Sprinkle with sugar.*I didn't do this with the cookies I made for Al because I put chocolate on them instead* Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until no indentation remains when touched; cool. 4 to 5 dozen cookies, 65 calories per cookie.
You can decorate these with chocolate, frosting, sprinkles, whatever you want. The dough is real easy to work with, too. This is my favorite rolled cookie recipe. I like them, and Al seems to have liked them, too, according to Karen! The cookie cutters I used to make Al, the band, and Suzanne were Wilton boy and girl ones. I used a dog and a bird cookie cutter for Bela and Bo. These were from a set of 100 my brother gave me for Christmas! woo hoo! Be creative, and have fun!
Patti
P.S. ~ SmileyGirl, if you could take a picture of your jewelry, I'd like to see it. Eric, I made an Al cake. You no doubt saw it, correct? If you want pointers, I'll help you out. Cake decorating is the thing I've done longest that has to do with food. *26 years*
