Honestly, the last two days have been the most I've enjoyed spending time on WOWAY in a long time. I'd forgotten how much fun this game is, and I think Mystik's right that it's already boosted the activity levels.
What do we think about this "reboot" format so far, where anybody is eligible to play regardless of if they played before?
I'll admit, when we were doing all the planning and casting, I was really hoping for a cast of mostly (if not all) new players. But now that we've played out the first challenge, I'm glad it turned out this way basically because it guarantees that people are gonna participate. A lot of the previous seasons (especially the later ones) had low activity levels.

I mean, we don't want to have the exact same group playing every single time but I think we can kind of leave it up to individual hosts what their casting policy should be.

Alprentice was pretty fun--I think Elvis was supposed to host a second season but it never materialized. I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a viable way of doing an Al-flavored Amazing Race.

I remember also really enjoying American IdAL a few years ago. It'd be fun to do that again.

So we're nearing the end of this season of Weird Al Survivor and it's customary for the outgoing host to select a successor for the next season. And while obviously it can be difficult and frustrating to deal with scheduling issues, MIA players, etc. I will say, overall hosting is a lot of fun. Developing challenges and watching them play out is a blast, as is getting unparalleled insight into the dynamics of the players.

When we wrap this current one up, I've got some suggestions on future rules that could be implemented regarding self-votes and that sort of thing, just so we have a consistent policy we can turn to before the game begins. And then I'll post some reflections on this season's twists and challenges because I want to start up a discussion on what worked and what didn't.

So yeah, if you're interested in possibly hosting next time, let me know.

Maybe not host host, but I'd be down for helping out/co-hosting.

WOWAY Apprentice this year was one of the most bombastic things I've partially witnessed.

I pity the poor bastard that has to host Survivor next.
