Predictions for "Billy"

Post by Heds »

A couple of months ago, a show based on Al's children's books was announced (Further information is in the TV and Media section).
The name has yet to be decided but I'm just going to call it "Billy" for now until we know more.
The show is being done by The Jim Henson Company, and as far as I know, they have only done productions with puppets and CGI - it's best not to expect it in 2D animation. It WILL probably mostly be set in a school setting,
So, what do you think will happen in Billy's very own TV show? List your ideas below!
(If appropriate move to TV and Media section)

Well, by "no 2D-animated series" I mean "not a production that was 2D in a long time"
I'm pretty much judging by most of their modern day content like Sid The Science Kid, Doozers, Pajanimals and The Hoobs. Most of them have been puppetry or CGI, and as such I am not really expecting it to be a 2D-animated series. However, you never know, they might get into it again.

oh god... sid the science kid? you mean this show?

I have always hated that show :annoyed: the characters are pretty ugly. I am crossing my fingers that they make this a 2-d animated show. I also hope that the story isn't as dull. In this show it always sounds like the voice actors are about to fall asleep.

Let's hope this show doesn't get as cringe-worthy as Sid The Science Kid. I swear to god I would die after watching that.

HOW DOES THIS DESCRIBE THE SCIENCE CURRICULUM?
A total failure.

I hope it isn't cringeworthy, even if it's 2D, 3D or with puppets. I'm mostly hoping for a show that involves 2D animation.
It's to be set in a school setting, so I guess it'll focus on Billy's school days. Not like a grown-up Billy or somebody telling the story to his children but more of it presented from a narrator or even Billy's point of view.

I'm guessing it will be non-educational, as is with the books.

Let's see some episode plots, shall we? That's what I mainly created this for.

They better not ruin Al's amazing books. I swear if this is as cringeworthy as sid the :censored: science kid, I will murder someone.

The trailer's animation is already cringeworthy. The music sounds like Kevin MacLeod music. I hope it isn't like this.

I highly doubt it will look like that. But if they do decide to animate it like that, I will hate them forever. Its super lazy animation..
