Which "Achy Breaky Song" artists do you like?

I've always felt that the Bee Gees were an odd inclusion. I think they were selected as a general representative for disco but songs like "Stayin' Alive" have always been pretty popular, and the disco years make up just a small percentage of their fantastic career. The ABBA reference makes more sense, because they (unfairly) remain a bit of a guilty pleasure punchline for a lot of people, but if I hear "Waterloo," I'm gonna crank it up and sing along. The rest of them? Yeah, we're in blow up my radio territory there.

I pretty much agree with you - I love ABBA and the Bee Gees!

Granted, I do have a few other artists listed in the song on my iTunes, but those are either there indirectly by being associated with an Al parody (NKOTB, Billy Ray Cyrus), and/or are included by virtue of having one or more songs that could be considered a "classic" for the musical era in question (Barry Manilow, Village People, Vanilla Ice, Tiffany). The former group tends to be a more painful listen than the latter, in my experience - Al's parodies are so much better.

ABBA is the only one in the list that I know more than one song, so I must vote for them I guess. Although I might know some songs of other bands without knowing - e.g. I know "Stayin' alive", but if you have asked me who performed it before I read this topic, I wouldn't have known
