Another obvious choice for me: LMBYH.

Re: Nightmare Album VII
This one is not easy. Why is Let Me Be Your Hog bad just because it's short??
Meanwhile, there are more than a few "just okay" Weird Al songs on this list. The problem is not one of them stands out as really lousy so I doubt we'll come to a consensus.
For now I'll go with When I Was Your Age.

A few years ago, my answer would've been "Slime Creatures," but I've come to appreciate it recently. But now I have to say it's "Talk Soup." Musically, it already sounded dated in 1993, and he revisited similar lyrical territory to much funnier results six years later with "Jerry Springer."

I friggin HATE When I Was Your Age. I always skip it because I hate the sound of it. Definitely my least favorite Weird Al song even.

I really quite like WIWYA. For me, it's a toss up between LMBYH and Talk Soup. I'm not that big on Slime Creatures, either. (AOTRHFAPNM is the superior 'alien invasion' song)
But ultimately, I went with Hog because it's short enough to feel pointless. Talk Soup is a full song at least.

I agree. Musically and lyrically, I find it to be one of Al's strongest originals. I agree Talk Soup is weaker than Jerry Springer and Slime Creatures is weaker than , but they're both stronger than LMBYH.joseyklein wrote:When I Was Your Age is awesome!! Definitely not one of the worst at all

It's not just that LMBYH is short. It's the fact that its one and only joke only ever worked on the very first listen, when I thought that something was wrong with the disc. After that first time, the song was essentially pointless.

Re: Nightmare Album VII
For me, "Hog" still works because it's short. It makes fun of dumb heavy-metal "love" analogies and then gets out. All of the others I still like at least a little bit, except "A Complicated Song," which wore out quick for me. I haven't listened to that in a long time, so that's my pick even though it's pretty obviously going to be "Hog" at this point.
