It doesn't surprise me that a group of hard-core Yank-heads would like the originals better than the parodies. Al's humor and songwriting skill really shine in them.

Is this poll really over?

I agree 100% scotti. Origianals have that special Al charm that no parody could capture.

It's not that the parodies are not good. They are. And some of them brilliantly done. But as Al said to Em: "Give me a break, I can only change the words." His creativity is limited, and it shows.

But give him free rein and there's no telling what he'll come up with. Algonacchick and I were chatting tonight about how wonderful it would be if Al could be given total creative control and as much money as he needs to make another movie.. That would polka!

NTTH is a fan favorite, and one of my favorites too, so I'm glad that won. Way to go NTTH!
