What I had to do was upgrade my real player, reboot my computer, open the new real player and then go to NPR from there. A pain in the butt, ya, but it was worth it.

Great interview! Thanks for sharing...it was weird to hear Al over the phone though...neat...:inlove:

Al made some good points about songwriting..It was nice to hear him mention his idols in the novelty song area...and to hear a little clip of Tom Lehrer himself(!)..

Unfortunatly, I can't say as a fan I've ever heard the extra gory version of TNSWC......oh well...doesn't sound like I'll be catching it anytime soon..

There's one version of the extra gory version on the WAY Live video/dvd. The original extra gory version is played on Dr Demento every December. The single (I forgot whether it's on the extended Amish Paradise or Gump single) occassionally turns up on ebay.

You can't get the Doctor in Oregon either so we listen to it on the internet. Also I got the interview to work. Great interview!

As Scotti will attest, I tried to get Dr. D on about 3 or 4 websites the other night, but due to all my firewalls, I couldn't get any to work...:(

I will repeat what I said before...great interview!
