They told me it was Cleveland.com, not the Plain Dealer (then why is it on their site?

Yeah, that's what I did. Like I said, I haven't heard back yet. I at least want them to run a correction acknowledging that they made a mistake.

Well, Cleveland.com hosts the Plain Dealer site, so it's sort of the other way around.

But still, it sounds very much like the buck is being passed around...almost like nobody wants to take responsibility for this.

Well, The Plain Dealer ran a correction in today's paper. It basically said that Al did not record The Twelve Pains of Christmas, and that the song is associated with Bob Rivers. I'm happy that they ran it, but chances are, not too many people will read the corrections section anyway.

That's very admirable of them. Everybody makes mistakes, but it takes a real person (or in this case, newspaper) to admit when they have.

Good....now only if the nice folks in Cleveland can erect a bulletin board on the highway to state the fact.

Hmm...A large billboard on the side of the highway..I can do that!!

It was very nice of the folks at the PD to run the correction though. They are one of the only papers I know of that don't totally ignore you when you correct them.
