Throwing this out there, but if this garden party is the same set that the song is from, (which seems very likely), maybe it'll be a more slowed down version of one of their songs. Similar the Candy Shop's use in The Hangover.

I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead

I want it to be "Mellow" but I'll go against the grain and vote "Happy Birthday," which seems like a natural to be performed at a party, assuming Jim's pics are connected to the re-recording.

Sausage Party's released in less than a month, I doubt music would be recorded now.

Big Spoon wrote:Music for a movie in general is usually one of the last things done. A lot of the time the score is being written up until the last minute, due to all the edits being made.
Although this point is sort of moot now that we know it's for a live action movie.

Jim posted several different batches of film set pictures on Facebook (Al is with him in one of them) and so did Steve and Bermuda, so the speculation continues! Doesn't look like the song was recorded for Sausage Party, but it looks like Al and the guys will be in a live action film! They're dressed like they could be a wedding band?? Or maybe it's just an actual garden party. What rich person would throw a garden party and have Weird Al as the band?

Real talk tho, if Al and the guys were my wedding band ugh, dream come true. Hashtag person with folded hands emoji hashtag person raising both hands in celebration emoji.

So, which song would be the best one for a garden party?

1. "Ricky" (No Tress MacNeille)
2. "Gotta Boogie" (Probably not an original, or at least not this one)
3. "I Love Rocky Road"
4. "Buckingham Blues" (Too dated)
5. "Happy Birthday"
6. "Stop Draggin' My Car Around" (Doubtful)
7. "My Bologna"
8. "The Check's In The Mail" (Not really a garden party song)
9. "Another One Rides The Bus"
10. "I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead" (This would be AWESOME)
11. "Such A Groovy Guy" (Possible?????)
12. "Mr. Frump In The Iron Lung" (Naaaahhh)
:accordion: Well, if this photo shoot of a garden party has anything to do with him re recording his song.....
It could be a Birthday Party....
hence...
Happy Birthday. :birthday:
Stranger and stranger...the mystery continues!

But on second thought....
How could he possibly make Happy Birthday any better!!!!!!

No...
I'm sticking with My Bologna. :accordion:

Judging from Jim's photos, I'd say it's most likely Happy Birthday

Alicia,
I don't have a facebook account....
So...it's your responsibility to tell Jim, who looks so cool and amazing, that if he ever hopes to succeed in life, make any money playing his guitar, he should stay away from weirdos.
I mean, who the heck is that weird guy in the last photo.?

On Monday (?) Steve Jay uploaded a photo to his Instagram account, which said that the movie was "How To Be A Latin Lover" starring Rob Lowe and Racquel Welch.
That made me think the song might be "Ricky" especially after I saw Bermuda and the rest of the band in their white suits.
I realize "Ricky" can't be right with the boys singing along and without Tress MacNeille, and "Happy Birthday" makes a lot more sense with the garden party photos, but I can't help thinking of Ricky Ricardo and an old-fashioned big band when I see the guys in their white suits and black bowties.
I also like imagining how freaking AWESOME it would be to have Weird Al and the band playing at a wedding. :P
