Is the song really about Elvis though? Think that's what he wasn't sure of.

I would think so. The song is about a painting of a celebrity.

A painting, yes, the actual celebrity... I'd say no, theres no actual reference toward him.. just the painting.

How is the painting fuzzy? I thought he was talking about a doll of some sort. Didn't even know it was a painting. Yes, I figured a doll could cover up a hole in the wall, standing on a shelf or on a television.

There are thousands of velvet paintings out there, elvis being the most popular of them.

I agree, it's not about Elvis, it's about a painting of Elvis.

I disagree. It's a song about the celebrity culture of Elvis Presley (and the way some people choose to idolize him), thus if a "Celebrity Album" were ever actually made, this would be the perfect inclusion.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Time to revive this thread that I created years ago because I thought of something.

The Renovation Album! [Work in Progress]

1. Handy
2. The Plumbing Song
3. Mr. Popeil
4. I'll Repair For You
5. Hardware Store*

And uh... hm. Well I guess it could be a cheesy compilation EP.

*edit.

You can add Hardware Store to that.

Huh, good idea Bruce. Don't know how I forgot about that one. It's pretty obvious.
