Weird Al should style parody some obscure indie band that nobody knows about, except just blatantly rip off the song and claim it's completely original, and then when somebody finds out who he ripped off, he can just say, "Oh but it's a STYLE PARODY!"

Oh wait he did that.

He's talking about "Albuquerque" vs. the Rugburn song "Dick's Automotive."

Although it really is a "style parody," it specifically resembles one song and ONLY one song. I don't get the big deal, though. It still only mimics the style of the way they play the instruments in the song (that is to say, it's not EXACTLY the same structure)... which isn't an inherently bad thing.

I still love the song and think it's still much better than the Rugburns' anyway.
