If you were going to do another Cheesy Compilation Album, the Twisted Love Songs one makes more sense than the TV album did. The Twisted Love Songs are among Al's best work.

Because more people watch TV than have romantic relationships go pear-shaped?Big Spoon wrote:Yeah, but the TV Album is probably more marketable.

I'd assume "Alimony" is left off for some reason? It's not as "Twisted" as the others, but, kinda deals with love in a way...BIGAlfan2711 wrote:Okay, so we know about "The Food Album" & "The TV Album". But what about all those crazy love songs:

In my case, yeah. I've never been in a relationship...Orthography Enthusiast wrote:Because more people watch TV than have romantic relationships go pear-shaped?Big Spoon wrote:Yeah, but the TV Album is probably more marketable.

Okay, there's another reason the "suits" would never do the Twisted Love album. Out of 15 songs, 13 are originals. Which is a GOOD thing, just a less marketable thing than parodies.

Sad, but true. I mean, the hardcore's, I'm sure, would possibly pick it up. Or, at the least, buy it off of iTunes or what have you.Orthography Enthusiast wrote:Okay, there's another reason the "suits" would never do the Twisted Love album. Out of 15 songs, 13 are originals. Although, lately, it seems there's been a general uprising in support of Al, a general 'respect' of sorts, where he seems to have a lot of albums selling recently, and I'm sure it'd sell well despite the lack of parodies. Granted, the parodies seem to be the highest noted songs of his, but I know quite a few people who can rattle off non-parodies and say they like them.

I, for one, am not going to pay money to buy MP3s of songs I already have. If I'm going to buy a cheesy comp from Al, it better at least have liner notes.HappyGilmore wrote: I mean, the hardcore's, I'm sure, would possibly pick it up. Or, at the least, buy it off of iTunes or what have you.

I'm not saying ALL hardcores, but I know quite a few who would purchase it, just for the liner notes. I count myself amongst them. Then again, I have every cheesy compilation he's put out, even though I have the studio albums. I dunno.TMBJon wrote:I, for one, am not going to pay money to buy MP3s of songs I already have.
