BMI.com has a very strange entry... they list a song called "Romance Of The Toad", composed by Gregory Stuart Hinde, Drew Arthur Neumann, and Alfred Matthew Yankovic.

This seems to be a parody of a song called "Romancing The Stone", but I can't find a song of that title by anyone.

Anyone know what the heck this is???

Well they would use his proper name since it is copyright info. But Greg Hinde and Drew Neumann are tv composers. And I cant find any info on Ten Fifty Music. So maybe this was for a tv show Al was working on. Or something coming up. I couldnt find publishing dates, so it could be a new thing. And if you look at the BMI record number it is a higher number than anything of SOL. But browsing through the list of his stuff, a lot of things come up. Mostly tv background cues. And a lot with Greg Kihn. And apparently the legal title of Melanie is Mezanie. And I did find atwo other songs written with Joe Earley called Buffalo Girl and I Wanna Make Top 40. Sounds like a good Ask Al.

I particularly liked these old favorites: "Attack of the Radioactive Hams" (Or How I Spoiled Easter Dinner By Using My Old Microwave)
and "Slime Creatures From Outer Spa" (Or That's the Last Time I Buy a Used Jacuzzi)
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

"Mezanie, what can the problem be?
Sweet Mezanie, why won't you go out with me?"

Nope, doesn't have that same feel.
