Good point. Rereleasing older stuff is for when you're ready to retire. However, remastered albums does sound nice. Maybe a "Demos Album"?

Like remastered demos of Al's debut CD. hear the songs the way they were before they were pollished.

I'd LOVE a "Demos Album" very much.

That sounds like a great idea! I'd like to see some bonus feautres on the 80's albums, or an extra DVD disc. I love hearing Al speak.

I'm not sure if an official "remastering" of the tracks would be needed as opposed to just having Volcano create better-sounding master tapes for the albums.

I believe all the album songs were recorded with digital technology, so it's not like they have to clean up some old antiquated tapes. The master tapes of each song are as "mastered" as they're going to get for a while.

But if Volcano was going to take the initiative and strive to create better album masters, then yes it's time for some expanded editions of the albums...something like Rhino would do. Liner notes, miscellaneous bonus tracks, etc.

I would love it if Rhino took over Al's back catalog. He's just the kind of "cult" artist that belongs on Rhino. Imagine the possibilities...
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

I don't recall who it was (and I apologize for that), but someone was telling me a while ago that Rhino was chomping at the bit wanting to sign Al if he couldn't reach an agreement with Volcano this last time. Of course, this person was in the old IRC room, so factor in however many grains of salt you'd like.

It would have been great if Rhino had signed Al. They would have done a great job.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Ok, let me tell you how this forum has invaded my dreams. I have already stated my opinions on remastered and my love of vinyl. Last night I had a dream that I was in a record store (note I said record) and found mint copy of WAY. And it was only $2! Anyway, I grabbed it and did one of those manic laughs that evil geniuses do, and said, "Theyll never remaster this one!" Creepy, I know.

The color CD is hard to find because it is out of print now, the black and white one you have is the newer, more common version.
