As far as SLN, Al says Kurt Cobain liked the song, so he decided to keep it in the set after Kurt's death. And DTBS doesn't parody a specific Devo song, just their style. It's one of my favorite Al songs.

Stuck in a Closet with Vanna White - artist - Aerosmith
For the person who said that, I think SIACWVW is parodying Van Halen. Just listen to Van Halen's Feel Your Love Tonight, and you will agree with me so easily.

What song are those lyrics from? I own a few Beastie Boys CDs but I don't remember those lines.

Is it just me, or does the opening of "Callin' In Sick" remind anyone else of the opening to Nirvana's "Come As You Are"?

And, I'm new to this topic, so sorry to people who said it before and please tell me am I the only one who thinks that "The Night Santa Went Crazy"'s melody is pretty similar to Ozzy Osbourne's "Mama I'm Coming Home"!

It is, but it isn't a direct parody of it. It has a lot of familiar stuff to it. It's an awesome song though, so no, you're not the only one thinks that!

Definitely. I'm 90% sure that's a Nirvana style parody, the intro ala "Come As You Are"; the way the verses are quiet and the choruses loud reminds me of "In Bloom" and "Heart-Shaped Box."
